Low Fat Creamy Chocolate Mousse Recipe
Recipe : Low Fat Creamy Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients :
50g dark chocolate, melted
1/3 cup light vanilla fruche
1/3 cup Carnation light evaporated milk
1/3 cup low fat plain yoghurt
1 tbsp drinking chocolate
1 tbsp brandy
1 tbsp Kahlua or coffee liqueur
1 sachet gelatine or 1 tbsp agar
1/4 cup boiling water
4 egg whites
1/4 cup Splenda artificial sweetener powder
6 fresh strawberries
1 tbsp Cointreau
Method :
Whip the Fruche, milk and yoghurt together in a large bowl. Add
drinking chocolate, brandy and Kahlua to the melted chocolate and
stir well. Pour chocolate mixture into sour
cream mixture and stir well.
Dissolve gelatine completely in boiling water and then fold into
chocolate/sour cream mixture.
In a separate bowl whisk the egg whites until almost stiff.
Gradually blend in the artificial sweetener. Stir the egg whites
into the chocolate mixture and mix well. Pour into 6 serving dishes
and refrigerate until set (2-3 hours).
Cut the strawberries in half, leaving them still attached at the
top. Flatten out cut side down in a small dish and pour Cointreau
over the top. Let marinate while mousse is setting.
Decorate each mousse with a strawberry, just before serving.
