Peach Torte Supreme Recipe
Recipe : Peach Torte Supreme
Ingredients :
2 cups wholemeal self-raising flour
1 x 410g can pie peaches
1/2 cup plain low fat yoghurt
1/2 cup Splenda artificial sweetener powder
1/4 cup mixed peel
2 egg whites
2 tbsp apple sauce
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1/4 cup apricot nectar
1/4 cup Carnation Light evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp golden syrup
vegetable oil spray
Method :
Spray a 25 cm square or 23cm round cake pan with vegetable oil spray
and line the bottom with greaseproof paper. Sift all dry ingredients
into a large bowl.
Mix the
yoghurt, egg whites, milk, apple sauce, nectar, golden syrup and
vanilla essence together and fold in to the flour mixture.
Spread 3/4
of this mixture into prepared pan - smooth out with back of spoon.
Spread the peaches over this mixture and then top this with
remaining 1/4 of mixture.
Bake for 40
minutes in a moderate oven or until lightly browned. Allow to stand
for 20 minutes before turning out onto wire rack.
